Taken College Level Courses?

Submit Your Transcripts

You started your path

Keep moving forward, no need to repeat classes you've already taken or take more classes than you need.

If you have attended another college or university and completed coursework, please submit your official transcript(s) to Cabrillo as soon as possible. Official transcripts allow Cabrillo College to evaluate for transfer credit and apply eligible coursework toward your degree or certificate.

Transcripts will be uploaded to Etrieve within 10 days of receipt. After that, meet with an Academic Counselor to have the coursework evaluated and develop your Education Plan. You'll learn how (and where) your completed courses will fit into your current plan.

  • Both completed high school and college course work can be evaluated. Limitations apply for both; connect with an Academic Counselor to see what will work for your Ed Plan.

  • Your program requirements depend on your major, your educational goal, and your intended transfer institution.

ProTip: Read first to save yourself time and money

Before you order, if you have previously submitted official transcripts to Cabrillo, you do not need to resubmit your transcripts, unless your external coursework needs to be updated. Check your Etrieve documents to view what we already have on file.

Official vs. Unofficial Transcripts

  • Official transcripts must be sent directly from your previous college electronically or by a third-party vendor (ex: National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment) or submitted in a sealed, unopened envelope. Official transcripts are required to receive transfer credit and cannot be submitted by students electronically.

  • Unofficial transcripts are copies obtained by the student and can be used to clear prerequisites but cannot be used to award transfer credit.
