I am the Program Coordinator for Greater Opportunities through Adult Learning (GOAL) Cabrillo at Cabrillo College, where I support adult learners in finding educational pathways through Cabrillo and our community partners throughout Watsonville and Santa Cruz County. As part of a regional consortium, I help connect students to opportunities such as noncredit education, ESL, high school completion, adult dual enrollment, career education, and other pathways that can help them reach their goals.

Before joining GOAL, I served as the Program Coordinator for the Learning Communities Center, overseeing Estrellas, Estrellas CSUMB, and Math PLUS. I also previously worked in Financial Aid and Admissions at Cabrillo’s Watsonville Center. Each of these roles has allowed me to work closely with students and has shaped the way I approach this work, with compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to meeting students where they are.

Raised in the Bay Area by immigrant parents from Mexico and El Salvador, my family and upbringing are a big part of why this work means so much to me. In 2020, I moved to Royal Oaks and became part of the community I now have the privilege of serving.

I am a proud Puente alumna and first-generation college student. I began my journey at De Anza Community College, transferred to California State University, East Bay, where I earned my B.A. in Sociology, and most recently earned my Master’s in Higher Education Leadership from San José State University.
