Hi! My name is Duane Strong. Not only do I teach CABT, but you can also find me at the Aptos and Watsonville Computing Technology centers.

I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, received an associates degree in electronics from Cabrillo, and a bachelors degree in computer science from UCSC. I have been working as an embedded software engineer for the last 40 years. I have written firmware for all kinds of things like medical devices, avionics, audio interfaces, synthesizers, mixing desks, thermal imagers, LIDAR for self driving cars, unmanned aircraft and more.

I am a senior member of the IEEE.
