Josephine Ethiopiawit Fahey is a third-year student at Cabrillo studying English and Political Science. With a love for community, education, and advocacy, she hopes to serve Cabrillo students with purpose. Her investment in the Cabrillo community started with a collaborative effort to build Cabrillo's first-ever English club, The Bookworms, which has been thriving since its first charter in Spring of 2024. Eventually, her passion for English led her to become Co-Editor and Journalist for Cabrillo's digital news publication, The Scuttle. The journalist role became a transformative experience, introducing her to the inner workings of the college and the student senate, and sparking her passion for political science and advocacy. She has served on the Board since March of 2025 and strives to help students holistically and equitably with the privilege and power of her seat.
