Come out and support the 3rd Annual Cabrillo College Homecoming football game! Everyone is welcome — students, staff, faculty, and community members. We will have food, fun, games, and prizes to cheer on our Seahawks!
Seahawks Homecoming | Sat, Sept 12 | 3:30 PM Homecoming | 6 PM Football Kick Off | Aptos Campus, Gym Parking Lot
Join us for two film screenings of American Pachuco: The Legend of Luis Valdez. This acclaimed documentary celebrates Luis Valdez, who elevated Chicano narratives to the screen through landmark films like Zoot Suit and La Bamba — overcoming political and industry pushback to broaden and honor America's cultural story. Co-producer Brenda Avila-Hanna will attend our 1 PM screening with a Q&A session following.

Honoring the successes of our Latine community through student-led interactive demonstrations, cultural performances, food and fun! Join students, clubs, programs and local industry partners to discover the wonderous world of STEM — from interest to industry. All ages welcome.
STEM Por Siempre | Tues, Sept 15 | 11 AM – 2 PM | Aptos Campus, 900 Plaza
¡Acompáñanos! Join us for an author talk with Watsonville resident Joaquin Barreto. Through storytelling and plática, Joaquin will share his journey of becoming a writer and the experiences behind his book. After the talk and Q&A, enjoy a tostada bar, Salvadoran and Mexican aguas frescas, live student performances, book raffles, and giveaways. Participate in a salsa contest with your best recipe and eat good food as we come together to listen, connect, and celebrate our comunidad!
Watsonville Por Siempre | Wed, Sept 16 | 4:30 – 6 PM | Watsonville Center
Come hang out at Seacliff State Park Beach — just a 5-minute drive from campus. We're closing out HSI Week with a carne asada BBQ, beach games, food, water, and light snacks provided. Bring whatever you need for a fun day in the sun!
