Cabrillo College provides pathways to hands-on, paid apprenticeship opportunities that combine classroom learning with real-world experience. This model integrates with the Community Health Worker, Computer Information Systems, and Education programs to develop qualified candidates for opportunities with our employer partners.
What is an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships follow an "earn while you learn" model. This structured approach allows students to master key competencies and gain hands-on skills while earning a wage that increases as their proficiency grows. Upon completion, apprentices earn a nationally recognized certificate, paving the way for a long-term career.
All apprenticeship programs at Cabrillo College are registered with the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
